The Town of Parker's Water Department has a busy morning planned as they work on a valve insertion on the corner of Agency and Mohave. The staff is working along side individuals from Hydra-Stop.
What's a valve insertion?
The primary purpose of a valve insertion is to install a permanent, functional valve into an existing pipeline system (such as water, wastewater, or gas) without interrupting the flow or shutting down the service. This method allows for repairs, maintenance, upgrades, or the addition of control points to systems where existing valves are inoperable or absent, thereby improving safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness by minimizing excavation and service disruption.
